It appears that some giftware I have seen (small dishes etc) is made in China. Of the Portemeirion dinnerware I have bought recently, all are marked made in Britain.

Chances are they are mostly made in China now. The website does not state whether they are made in china for most of the pottery range. I bought a Dawn Chorus cup and saucer and was horrified to discover that it was made in China. I expect the same for the other popular tea sets. I can't believe they charge extortionate prices for outsourced goods.
