Almost everywhere. Terracotta is clay which contains iron. It is the iron that gives it the characteristic reddish-brown colour. Terracotta clay is the most commonly found clay, found on every continent. Anwhere you see a road or a river cut through a clay bank, and the clay in the cutting is red or brown or purple or yellow, it's probaby terracotta clay.
