remove the dipstick. remove the engine cover panel by pulling up at the front and sliding forward. the secondary air pump is a round cylindrical plastic motor. it is the size of a large Orange Juice can mounted by 3 of rubber isolators near the upper front right part of the engine bay. the secondary air pump has an electrical connection on the left side and two air hoses on the right side. 1 of the hoses goes to the hair in your box. heather goes to the back part of the engine underneath the head take manifold.
Some GM cars have this code but no secondary air, has it been worked on?
Need to know what your question is.
It's located under the hood on the drivers side opposite the battery.
NO LEAVE ME ALNOE leave me alone
Here are a few things I would check. Air filter. Does it need changing. Fuel lift pump and filter. working correctly and clean Carburettor. Are the jets clear and unclogged Spark plugs. Is there a strong spark. Clean and gap set correctly. If it has fuel injection as opposed to a carburettor check the injection pump, fuel lines and injectors. Injection timing. Ignition timing
It does not have secondary air injection.
Yes, the smog pump is correctly called an air injection pump. It pumps air into the exhaust when forst started to help the cat warm up.
Secondary air injection pump is located right on top/front of your engine. Its a black pump which should have a aluminum bracket holding it on. Just one inverted torx bolt and the electrical connection
The secondary air system pump is on the driver side below the battery .
If the secondary air injection failure code comes up you shold propably check the air pump fuse. I think it is call the air pump. The fuse is rather big. Sometimes water gets into the air pump and causes it to trip out. the fuse is loacated on the front pasengerside close to the bumper. Some people say that you will know that the fuse is out on the air pump because the hood light goes out. That's not really true in all cases.
the secondary air injection system is the smog pump and valve. the valve is located on the exhaust manifold with 2 hoses leading to the smog pump which is located under the drivers side floor. it is electric.
right under the alternator below the air filter
secondary air injection system
Secondary air injection malfunction. Maybe the air pump failure or a leak?
If you mean the secondary air injection system used in automotive applications: depending on the year, make, and model of the vehicle, the AIR pump can be located on either the belt drive or as a separate, electronic, pump somewhere in the engine compartment.
The secondary air pump is located at the front of the engine, between the engine and the radiator, you can see it from below the car. To get to it you will have to pull the front of the car partially off.
Right next to the windshield washer reservoir.
