the starter on a 96 cavy should be to the right of the exhaust manifold when looking down on the engine. the starter if you pop the hood and it is on the bottom side in the front where the engine and transmition bolt together

∙ 16y agoOpen up the hood, look straight down and it's close to the bottom of the engine. you can actually see it with no problem.

∙ 17y agoFollow the positive battery cable; it will lead you to it. its next to the oil filter below the front exhaust manifold... easy access with out fans in place.

∙ 9y agoThe starter should be on the left side of the engine just under the exhaust manifold. The starter will have to be lowered then the wires disconnected due to space.
