The public did not care about Amelia Earhart's plane they reacted to Amelia herself missing.
Amelia Earhart has NO connection- dead, alive, missing, whatever- with the Bermuda Triangle. It is true some Aviatrix ( woman pilot) did do some mapping survey of the area in 1935- so says a book put out by the Edgar Cayce organization but it does not state Amelia by name. There were many Aviatrixes out in l935. Amelia has NOTHING TO DO with the Bermuda Triangle. Caroline CASCIO, a modern aviatrix- did go missing in the triangle while operating a Cessna l72 in l969, on or around June 6 ( D-Day) this is a good Thirty- something years AFTER the Electra project.

Japan was in process of invading China and parts of the Pacific.
She never retired. She was still going strong when she disappeared over sea in 1937.
She disappeared before Pearl Harbor was attacked (before US entered WWII). Japan was fighting against China during the late 1930s.
No one really knows how Amelia Earhart died because she was going to fly around the world but in 1987 she suddenly disappeared. No one could find her. Today people are still trying to locate Amelia Earhart. No one knows where Amelia Earhart is. So it remains a mystery. Amelia Earhart was very determined, and felt that she was going to give up flying planes because she was aging quickly.

Amelia Earhart stopped to get her last fuel on an island called Howland Island. Howland is right near the Brumuta Triangle which is where they lost track of her.
Amelia Earhart was a strong woman who would what she wanted & no one could change her mind. She probably would have flown on that last flight anyway as long as she had everything prepared. At least that's what I think.
