PS you may need lv.90 Pokemon
Apparently he starts with a very strong pikachu so you should keep a rock or ground type Pokemon first in your party. I would recommend playing strategically and using weaknesses of his Pokemon. if you decide against this you may not stand a very good chance.
Red is the strongest trainer in the game.
Red is who you play as in leaf green and fire red.
He is also the strongest trainer you ever face in any Pokemon game.
Blue is your rival from leaf green and fire red. Gary is based off him in the Anime.

no the game can not tell a shiny Pokemon when it is with u only in battle Red Gyrados is red when it walks around with you, but its not exactly a real 'shiny' considering it is always red.
