How do you find the value of a painting titled Bridge in Paris by R Snapper?

Info about SNAPPERI have a very large framed painting, that looks like a street & canal scene from Amsterdam, that has been painted by a PARIS SNAPPER. (Or that is what his name appears to be on the painting.) I obtained it from a deceased relative about 9 years ago. He possibly had it for more then 20 or 30 years prior to that. I am happy to swap pics to see if it is possibly the same artist. I have done a Goggle search that drew a blank. I don't have an answer to your question, but I am pretty sure I have the same painting. I picked it up at an acution for a few dollars, so please let me know if you find out anything. Thanks,Re: R. Snapper: I have a painting of his (purchased in 1972) that is a Venetian Scene. It is signed VENICE over SNAPPER. Mr R. Snapper was born in 1907 in Woerden, the Netherlands. He worked in Paris and Switzerland from 1929 to 1931 when he moved to Amsterdam. He was known for his views of cities all over Europe. (This information is from a card on the back of the painting when I bought it). I, too, am interested in the value of my painting (12" X 30" hi). I assume Mr. Snapper is deceased.****NEW UPDATE***OCT 28,2008****-- they are appraisers in the Netherlands and would provide a verbal appraisal for i think 60 euros. written ones are more expensive. i too own a snapper entitled'Amsterdam' but cannot afford the appraisal. maybe we can work together. my painting is 33inches by 55inches NEW UPDATE******12/28/09.....Hello My name is Erin French, I also have a painting titles Paris snapper It is a very dark looking street/ canal scene it is fairly large maybe 24" x 36"+ it looks to be in the original gold frame I purchased my painting at the salvation army for $25 it is beautiful but I know nothing about it.

Can you use cardstock for watercolor painting?

I have found watercolor paper to be very good for marbling, because it remains strong when wet. The only drawback I have found is its thickness, which can be a disadvantage in some of the traditional uses of marbled paper such as endpapers in books. If the marbled paper will be freestanding, such as for a greeting card, watercolor is a good choice, but if you plan to glue the marbled paper to another surface, and especially if you will have to fold it, look for a thinner paper.

Can you use a regular Discover card or do you have to use a Walmart Discover card to get 3 cents off for gas?

Walmart Discover Card -- it is a discount for individuals that have a Walmart card not a discount for having a Discover card. Kinda like Chase Cards -- depending on which one you have depends on what you can accumulate points to.
