Use a B, 2B, or darker grade of pencil for your shading. H and 2h pencils will give you less depth.
I think it is a Ticonderoga.
I keep a 2H, an HB and a 4B pencil in my sketching kit. The 2H pencil gives me lighter lines, holds its point better and is best to define the side of a figure in full light or the backgrounds of landscapes. The HB pencil, is readily available, holds a point for a short time, and is used to do light shading, to define central areas of a figure or middle distance of a landscape. The 4B pencil is of a softer lead, is great for shading and blending, and can be used on its side to give larger strokes of colour.

aletter & number like (4h) is a light lead & a (6b) is a darker lead As used in shadowing. choose a pencil with light lead like a 4H. use this so if you don't like something you started drawing than you can erase it easier if you use a pencil like a 6b erasing this will show .I start with a light lead pencil drawing lightly so when I get it to point that I can say yes this is right than I use a darker lead to bring it out. If you are trying to do light shadow work on your picture use the side of you pencil lead just scribbling back & fourth not hard but lightly now take your finger & rub it over the scribbling you will see it fill in. also get a good eraser. a spongy eraser is a bad eraser need a harder rubber eraser .
The best places to go for pencil sharpeners are Office Depot, Office Max and staples, but anywhere that would sell art or school supplies will have pencil sharpeners.
The best places to look for pencil sharpeners are stores that provide office or school supplies, like Staples, Grand & Toy, your local drug store, and Walmart. Hobby or arts and crafts stores, such as Michaels, will also provide options.
The length of a pencil is best measured in centimeters
If the speed of light were the same in air and water, then the pencil would appearstraight, NOT broken. The beginning of the simplest explanation of why it doesappear broken is the fact that the speed of light is different in air and in water, and that causes light to bend when goes from one into the other.
For tracing, you will need tracing paper and a pencil. Often times it is helpful to also have some sort of clipboard, tape, or tacky material to keep the tracing paper in place. If you're looking to do more heavy duty tracing, you can invest in a light board, which will shine light through regular paper, allowing you to see what you're tracing.

I personally use a No2 pencil for the sketching, and then micron pens for lineart. Color is optional, but if you choose to go that route, there are several ways you could go.
The best unit for measuring the length of a pencil is inches.
A tall porcelain stein makes a great pencil cup.

The best estimate is 15 centimeters which is about 6 inches
The number two in reference to a pencil denotes the relative hardness of the graphite or "lead" that is in the pencil, HB being softer and three being harder, etc.
