* The Art Deco period began around 1900 and ended around 1930. At least, however, this is the period during which the greatest volume of work was produced the whole world round. And in many parts of Europe it stopped right then. In the United States Art Deco mananged to survive the Depression and continued until the beginning of WW II. The 1939 New York World's fair was probably the last great event in the Art Deco style * And it wasnít just the Arts. The style and design aspect with all itís geometric forms permeated almost every facet of life. Including, architecture, clothing, industry, jewelry, home furnishings, appliances, ontterion desingn and you name it, just about anything you can think of.
