Still photographer is a person that takes pictures with their camera. Some photographers are professional, meaning they make money from this profession, whilst amateur photographers do it for fun, and pleasure. Still photographer means the photographer is taking stills vs video, it means the image is frozen rather moving.
a commission is where you give someone deviantart points or money to draw/paint etc. a picture for you
Well there is no straight answer as to how much should a person charge , but here is what I do : If I am renting the equipment I will add the cost of that, I will see how much time I am investing in the whole process, I will do a pre-assessment as to how many pics will I click for the photo shoot. If the amount of shots required for the shoot is quite high I will do the Shutter Count check, Everytime I press my shutter that is 2-10 usd of my income, the more picture I take the more money I will charge, on the top of everything I will charge if I am going to travel + money for electricity +computer usage. I will relax on amount of work I will put in to make the pics beautiful, I will also check the prices of other photographer, just to make sure I am not going above and beyond. So inshort..there is no hard and fast rule to figure out the amount of price, You can do it for free if you want to. But then in order to take money, take it slow and you will be there eventually. all the best.
Depends on how good the photographer is at selling it. Like all artistic endevours, the value depends on the market, which may be good in siome places, poor in others.
Photography is an incredible hobby for thousands of people. For some, it is a profession, but the majority of photographers are not professionals. Being a photographer can be exciting and interesting on a regular basis because photos are never the same. On top of that, images can be edited using software or different lens effects, so it's not all about just taking some pictures.Who can be a photographer?Without a doubt, anyone can be an amateur photographer at the very least. It takes a skilled photo taker to become anything close to a professional though. A skilled photo taker must be able to pick and choose angles, have a steady hand, and more. Of course, the average person won't take much mind in all of that because people flash random photos all the time with their smartphones. Still, it takes an extremely skilled photographer to be a professional and make money from their skills. What does a potential photographer need?To become a photographer, a person will obviously need to purchase a camera and some editing software too. Certain camera accessories are useful like protective cases, extra memory, and various lenses. A photographer will also need either a photo printer or the ability to get their photos printed elsewhere. Of course, a person should obtain a website if they want to showcase their photos or attempt to sell their services. It isn't as simple as picking up a camera and becoming a professional photographer overnight - it takes quite some time.Is it worth it?Most people shouldn't attempt to be professional photographers right away, but it is a great hobby to pick up. For people that just want to have fun taking pictures, it doesn't cost too much to become a photographer of sorts. It's definitely a worthwhile hobby or side job for amateurs. Obviously, some professionals make tons of money by taking fabulous photos. It doesn't cost too much money to get started in the field of photography, so just about anyone can do it. In fact, a person could feasibly start out their "career" by taking high quality pictures from a smartphone. The possibilities are there for the people that want to give it a shot.

One advantage of being a long-term contracted sports photographer is that you can make a great deal of money. A disadvantage to being a freelance sports photographer is that work can be sporadic.
