Antoni Gaudi generally gets the credit. However, having been started in 1882 and projected to be completed in 2026 it is a 144 year construction project. Guadi did some design and supervised some construction until he died in 1926. His designs were not exhaustive, were partially destroyed and have been partially reconstructed in recent years. When he passed away the project was less than 25% complete.
