That depends on who is telling the story. In the earliest versions of the story, it was Sir Perceval. Later romances made it Sir Galahad. At least one medieval German work has it be Sir Gawain.

King Arthur is a legendary British leader who is associated with the Knights of the Round Table, the sword Excalibur, and his quest for the Holy Grail. He is also known for his role in defending Britain against Saxon invaders in the early medieval period.
The Round Table was where Arthur sat with his Knights. It was given to him as a wedding present by Guinevere's father, and it showed equality through all the knights. The number seated around the table varies, but a minimum is about 12. There was a seat left empty where all who sat in it would die except one knight, the purest of knights- Sir Galahad, who sought the Holy Grail and is almost always listed as one of the Grail knights, if not the only Grail knight. A Round Table is viewable at Winchester Castle, and lists 25 knights, including Arthur himself.
The rising action of King Arthur and the knights of the round table typically involves the establishment of King Arthur as a wise and just ruler, the formation of the Knights of the Round Table, the quest for the Holy Grail, and the various adventures and challenges they face together. This phase builds tension and leads to the climax of the story.
