AnswerWhen trouble shooting these problems it is best to check each system in a certain order. Turn on the key to the on position, but not start. Listen for relays in front of the battery to click. The fuel pump will turn on for up to three seconds then shut off. This primes the fuel system. If the fuel pump does not turn on It may be the pump, relays or computer. If fuel pump does come on, check for spark. If spark is not apparent, it may be one of the plugs, wires, cap or rotor. If the simple easily replaceable components don't rectify the solution, it may the crank angle sensor (most common), cam sensor (in the distributor) and of course the computer. The first and foremost check is that the fuel pump comes on when the ignition is first turned on.
