he never took notes
Leonardo da Vinci used his notebooks to help him with his paintings. He studied and made notes about the human anatomy, plants, and rocks in order to be able to make them more realistic in his paintings. Much of his notebooks contained his lab notes and ideas for inventions, such as his notes and ideas for flying machines.

Da Vinci was an interesting man. He really didn't have hobbies beyond reading all that he could and collecting books. He kept notes all of his life where he wrote ideas, asked questions, drew plans and made drawings. One of his main failings was he had a hard time finishing commissions and often was sued for taking the money, but not producing the work.
His drawings never got beyond models or just stayed as part of his vast notes. The art he created has been more important than any of the technical drawings he did. Da Vinci was a person who didn't finish much of what he started. He was sued several times by sponsors for not completing the commission he was hired to do.

A study sheet is a page full of observational drawings based on one thing like cave paintings for instance and notes to explain the drawings. If you need to do a cave paintings sheet you need to find artists work of caves and paint at least 4 observational drawings with notes to put on your study sheet or you need to draw caves from pictures on the internet or from books and explain whether you focused on tonal areas or the detail or the basic shape of the cave.
