Paintings are useful to historians to find out the contrast between two different times in the past or present. The reasons this is helpful are so we know more about are past and what happened so we can make our life better another reason is that they can see the facial expressions and you can see how they painted in the past. I know that people play around with paintings so you look better in the painting in real life but if they took it on a camera it could be blurred or reflection of the sun in the middle of the photo. by ethan
