Most mountain formations are the result of enormous and violent forces, either vulcanic or because of tectonic plates crushing into each other and pushing the edges upwards. That process for instance formed the Himalayas.
The tectonic plate boundaries come together and push up on each other to form mountains.
Get a good straight edge and some feeler gauges. Lay them across the surface of the head in all orientations. (across front/back/middle, diagnally across corner to corners) See if the feeler gauges will slip under at the end or the middle of the straight edge. (or you can see light...) If so, it's warped. How warped is too much? If I can get my finger nail under it, it gets some attention. Keep in mind that having it planed will make the surface flat, but bolt it up now and the camshafts are now continuously being bent ever so slightly... Heads can now be heat straightened. This brings the cams back in too. If it's not bad and you don't have a Torque to Yield head bolt setup, I've over torqued the head bolts by up to 10% to compensate on minor warpage. Seems to work. No leaks yet, although all car guys will probably say I'm on crack. Most common seems to be heads warped away from the block in the middle. This is where I over torque the bolts just a tad in a reducing pattern out from the center. So, if the head called for 70 ft pounds I'd torque the middle bolts to about 78, next row out to 75, and so forth. Don't blame me if it doesn't work for you or you snap off bolts. answer answer engine wont be warped but the head may be if you didn't overheat engine too much and fixed problem pretty quick, it wont be warped above answer says about bent cam. that is bogus but if head is warped, just go buy anew one and replace specially if aluminum they cannot be straightened if torque says 70 use 70.if u snap a bolt off going over the proper torque then you got to generally take head off and hope there is enough broken bolt showing to be able to remove it with out drills and easy outs PS a camshaft will break before it bends.
Yes, there are mountains in Alabama. The Appalachian Mountains, which are about 1,500 miles in length, extend from North-Central Alabama, up through the New England States and into Canada. There are several mountains in Northeastern Alabama, with Lookout Mountain being the most prominent. Further South in the Talladaga Range of the Appalachians is the highest point in the state, Cheaha Mountain, which stands at 2,407 ft.
These are upwarped mountains. They form when blocks of Earth's crust are pushed up by forces within Earth. Over time, the soil and sedimentary rocks at the top of Earth's crust erode, exposing the hard, crystalline rock underneath. As these rocks erode, they form the peaks and ridges.
Most mountains are formed by convergent tectonic plate movements. In this process, tectonic plates crash into each other causing land masses to rise up out of the ground. These processes have formed many of the mountains in Central and South America.
In some cases, the folded crust can be pushed up high enough to form mountains.
Upwarped mountains are mountains that form when forces inside Earth push up the crust.
They are dome(up-warped) mountains
In some cases, the folded crust can be pushed up high enough to form mountains.
Fold mountains are formed from the collision of continental tectonic plates. Since neither plate subducts under the other, the colliding plates wrinkle and fold like a rug being pushed into a wall.
Folded mountains. These are formed when tectonic plates clashed together and formed in and up.
the earths plate crust and then it collides so that a mountain comes up, which is made of folded rocks

well a folded up mountain is a mountain that has been folded up. pretty simple come on
when the Earth plates collide.Rocks areforced into air and folded with pressure and built the folded mountins.
