The oracle concluded that Ikemefuma must die.

Okonkwo kills Ikemefuma to show his peers that he is not weak. It is ironic that Ikemefuna is, besides Okonkwo, the most manly man in his family.

I remember something about how someone's wife got murdered from so they brought a virgin to replace and ikemefuna for sacrifice!! Ikemfuna then had a tight relationship with Nwoye(Okonkwo's son) and he killed kiemefuna because the punishment had to occur for killing one of the mens wife !!
