Heart burn hasn't got anything to do with the heart, it's more scientific name is acid reflux, and it's the sour stomach juices that gets up into the throat. It's brought on either by the valve between stomach sac and throat not closing properly, or the stomach for some reason producing more than the usual amount of digestive juices. Stress and fatty foods are considered usual triggers.
