(PS your a gypo) To the post above: Why don't you contribute a real answer you non American piece of shi*. It is more than likely coming from the third brake light at the cabs rear. This is a common problem.
Check your heater core under your dash.
That is where the heater core and AC box is located. Perhaps the drain is plugged and water in getting into the air intake under the hood somehow. The drain is in the firewall at the bottom or underneath. After the AC has been running, there should be condensation dripping from it if it is open.
Carpet stains can be removed sevaeral ways. one way is using a stong solvent based spot remover such as Dissolve. They must be rinsed out with water, or carpet fibers will release. If all else fails, a professional tec can cut the spot out and replace it with a piece from a closet.
how long can garter snakes stay under water?
The only way to find out is to go to a dealership.
The most prosaic explanation is that something spilled there and the water soaked through the carpet.
have your heater core checked its probually leaking
check the air conditioner hose.
If it is water the hose that drains the a/c evaperator is broken, if it is engine coolant it is a bad heater core In my case ('90 apv), the tubing which supplies washer fluid to the rear wiper cracked and seeped out, soaking the carpet. It runs under the carpet along the driver side door frame. The only up side is that the fluid apparently contains something which keeps the mildew from growing.
Our '98 Achieva had the same problem. It was due to the air conditioning hose being blocked. Therefore the water was backing up into the vehicle, under the carpets and into the back seats instead of flowing out.
It is part of the filter on the driver side of the block.
The thermostats on a Dodge Avenger 2. 4L are mounted with the plastic water housing on the driver side end of the cylinder head.
heater core is leaking.
chek the passenger side for water under the carpet
That is the fuel filter on the driver side of the engine block.
A crunching sound under the carpet may indicate that there is debris or small objects trapped beneath it. It could also suggest that the carpet padding has deteriorated or that there is water damage causing the carpet to stiffen and create a crunch when walked on. It's best to investigate and address the issue to prevent any further damage or potential hazards.
This is just a guess, based on soggy carpet in other model cars, but it might be condensation from the air conditioner.
