polar car starter programing
If the remote car starter stopped working after a new battery was installed in the remote, the remote needs to be reprogrammed. If the remote starter stopped working after a new battery was installed in the vehicle, the computer might need to be reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
You should use the users manual to help out with this. If that does not work, you can go online to find the manual there as well.
The starter is probably at fault. Hit it with a hammer real good and if it starts it is the starter for sure. That won''t work but a few times.
Bad starter solenoid. Bad brushes more likely (worn out)
It sounds like the solenoid is working but the starter is not. Check the wires on the starter. Possibly the starter has gone bad.
remote starter will work then next time will not work
If all of the other remote functions work, the problem is most likely in the truck. Check all of the connections and the relay that control the remote starter functions of the truck.
What does a remote starter have to do with the wipers? Just turn them off when stopping the car, and then when you use the remote starter, the next time, the wipers will not come on. If the wipers are not on then they will not work, no matter if you are using a remote starter or not.
With an installed Viper 160xv remote starter, the starter will work fine up to a distance of 100 feet or so, but not beyond. This is the limit for 160xv Viper remote.

Because the flash drive memory they installed on the remote is full
yes it will, done it many times. the t-harnesses are vehicle specific NOT remote starter specific. you can either use male spade crimp-on connectors on the wires from the remote starter so you can just plug them in. or cut the plug off and direct wire the t-harness and remote starter harness together.

Will the radio work when you turn your key to Accessories? If not, unplug the larger connector on your remote starter box.The one with 5 wires- 2 larger red wires,1 large yellow wire and etc. This provides voltage to the radio and such when the remote starter starts the car.If you remove this connector and things work the remote unit has a bad relay or is dragging down the voltage. If it doesn't work, check your fuses in your vehicle.
Start by replacing the battery in the remote.
When they installed the remote starter they cut your starter wire and wired in a "starter kill" function. When they connected the key side and the starter side to the alarm they didn't make a good connection on the key side and that wire came loose. If it is a directed electronics product ie. Viper then its a thick green wire that should be accompanied by a purple, pink, red, and orange thick wires. Find the wire that the purple is hooked up to, note the wire color and find that green wire comming from your remote start system and reconnect it to the other side of the starter wire.
if it's manual some wont start or should say majority of it wont start, if it was made by factory they might disable it on a manual for safety issues, if it's an auto the wire might came off from the remote module or the battery on the remote is dead. You could also use remote start on manual to if you like, but dealership wont install it for you i highly doubt it. Take it to a shop that install remote starter or alarms, they might be able to make it work for you but it'll be at your own risk for doing it.
