The obvious answer was Misty. So, they made it seem like it would only be temporary, but she has yet still never come back as a main character to the show. :(

So, they made it seem like it would only be temporary, but she has yet still never come back as a main character to the show. :( But, a trip around the world could take a hell of a long time. Think, with stops and the general time to go around the world in a boat.

∙ 15y agoBecause she moved. The company that made Pokemon wanted to start a new season of Pokemon with a new girl (you have noticed that every few seasons there's a new girl haven't you?). Same with why Haruka/May isn't in Pokemon anymore.

∙ 14y agoShe met Ash in the first episode. After he got caught on her fishing rod. And he "borrowed" her bike. Then, she swore to follow him until he repaided her bike.(Pikachu shocked it) Once Ash beat the Johto league, he got Misty a bike. Her sisters won the lottery for a cruise around the world, so Misty had to go look after the gym.May came when he met her on his way to her dad's gym and she was starting her journey so they thought it was a good idea to bring her little brother and travel with Ash.

I'm not saying that she will absolutely not do any more Pokemon episodes, but
from the way it's looking, it's very tough to think that she will be coming back.
