Sometimes the composition and the subject are more important than the color. Color can distract from certain subjects. Conversely, lack of color can add to an images appeal. You have to be an artist to understand.
I would recommend pastel colours, (pale pink, blue, yellow) or a basic black and white!

A screen with just two colours. Before colour computer screens, you had ones that were either black and white, black and green or black and orange. Later technology improved and we now have better computer screens. Early mobile phones would have been monochrome too.
