There are many reasons why you dog may be doing this. She may be in some type of pain of which you are not aware. Joint pain or hip displasia will cause dogs to be careful when changing to sitting or laying. It may also be a submissive gesture. It is difficult to diagnose the problem with this little information, but the most probably cause is pain or Arthritis in the joints.
