=== This is because the left ventricle has more work to do then the right side, so more muscle is needed so the heart will not fail to do its job. (it's job is to pump the blood around to differant parts of the body). EDITED BY JACK NISBET 15

Left ventricle has to pump blood through the aorta to the whole body including the heart. This requires greater force the left ventricle is thicker because it pump blood at very high pressure to all part of the body while the right and left auricle only receive blood and do not pump also the right ventricle do not pump.

The left ventricle have to pump the blood to whole body from the head to toe that is why its walls are thickest this is also a reason that why heart is felt on left side.

Which heart chamber has the thickest walls?

The left ventricle, it works the hardest and needs the most muscle mass.

Which chamber of the heart has the thickest walls?

Left ventricle has thickest walls and has the harder job of pumping blood to the entire body.

Thickest chamber in the heart?

left ventricle

Where is the thickest wall of the heart located?

The left ventricle, being responsible for pumping the blood through the systemic circulation, generates the highest pressures. For this reason, the left ventricle has the thickest muscular walls.

What chamber of the heart has the thickest myocardium?

The Left Ventricle has the thickest walls! The left ventricular myocardium is much thicker then the right ventricular myocardium because the left ventricle pumps blood into the aorta which takes blood to the rest of the body. (larger pressure gradient)

What is the thickest layer of tissue in the heart?

The left ventricle

How thick is the left ventricle?

It depends on many factors, but in general, it is the thickest part of the heart.

The myocardium would be the thickest in the left ventricle?

around the left ventricle

Where is the myocardium the thickest?

The left ventricle

What are thick walls that divide the heart into two sides?

Left ventricle

What are the lower two chambers of heart called?

The lower two chambers of the heart are the ventricles. The left ventricle is larger, with thicker walls, than the right ventricle.

What is the most powerful chamber or major chamber of the heart why?

The left ventricle is the thickest and most powerful chamber of the heart. It has to pump blood further (to the body) than the right ventricle (to the lungs).
