YThere is a shiny spot where you painted over a water stain on a textured ceiling because of reflection.
I used original kilz on this stain it still shows,I have been a professional painter for 30 years and have not seen this happen.
Are there any other explanations out there?thanks
Formica will not accept stain, however it can be primed and painted after sanding.
No! First It depends what type of pain you painted on your deck! It can if its a natural juice like Grape juice. Wood is a very obsorant material and it'll suck up whatever it can. However if your deck has a wood stain on it that you'll be fine. Or if its painted or if you have a water seel on it.
The stain or paint is rubbed into the pores of the wood and then let dry completely. "Rubbed in" not painted on with a brush or roller.
the underlying surface may be very shiny or slick. If the chairs were varnished stain, or had some kind of clear smooth finish the new paint will seem to scratch off with a fingernail. Get some medium sandpaper and rough up the shine, this will give the paint something to stick to.
If a person has light colored wood paneling, it is possible for them to change the color. First, the person will need to thoroughly sand the paneling, then apply a darker stain to the wood. Allow the wood to dry, then apply a shiny topcoat, and the work is finished.
No, the paint that you see on clay is either glaze or stain. Glaze is like liquid sand, and when it heats up it turns into a glassy surface. Stain is not shiny, and can be painted on with great detail.
My uncle is a painter and he said you will probably have to repaint ceiling but first user a Kilz primer to cover the oily stain then paint ceiling.
If the stain is dry and the ceiling, if papered, is still sound, then try using a "stain-blocker" paint. Most paint manufacturers produce such paints.* Do not use a water-based paint, such as emulsion or acrylic, because the stain, even though dry, will still bleed through. It is important to remember that two coats may be necessary: the first painted across the stain in one direction and, after that has dried, another coat painted at right angles across the first coat.Do not use any finishing coat until all traces of the stain have been "blotted out" by the stain-blocker. Allow to dry thoroughly and then finish off with one or two coats of ceiling paint i.e. emulsion or acrylic. * Dulux and International Paints(usual disclaimers apply!) are effective.
You probably didn't wipe it off thoroughly enough, the excess stain usually dries shiny.
Stand on a ladder
yes you can stain it with a glaze.
4ftx4ft area with water damage needing scraped stain block tape and bedding, sanding and spraying new popcorn then painted to match existing ceiling color. would range from 300 to 500. i just completed a job matching this description.for $ 483.00

If it's coming from the roof then the bathroom ceiling will have a water stain on it too. If you don't see this then it is coming from your bathroom.
to get an egg stain off of a concrete driveway, go to your local pool supply and get a bottle of muratic acid.be careful not to get any on yourself, children or pets. pour the acid on the stain and let set,if you desire, you could use a stiff broom to get the stain off. as for the door, it will need to be sanded and re-painted, if you have thew same paint on the door, you can just redo the area where the stain is at
Depends on the type and use of the furniture. I wouldn't want a nice table to be painted when I could stain it and bring out beautiful wood patterns.
