It could be the ICM or the pickup module.
Check the ignition circuit in the Storm. Start by checking the crank position sensor, then the coil pack to find the lack of spark.
No you were driving and it quit.and if it cranks it is turning over. check for spark at the spark plugs and also for fuel pressure at the injector rail.
try to change the ignition coil.
have you replaced and or tested both coils? are you getting no spark on the intake and the exaust sides?
A lot of things can cuse it. One is the ignition module. Have it checked out. GoodluckJoe I recently had the same problem,I changed the ignition module, after approx. 165 miles;same thing. My mech. put a computer scanner on it and found the problem to the MAP sensor. So far, no more problem. ignition module was $80.00 MAP sensor was $30.00
its not your ignition its your crankshaft sensor that's the same problem i had.
There are two main types of no-starting conditions. Cranks but won't start, and no cranks no start. For a no crank no start condition it is best to suspect a problem with the starter circuit. For a cranks but won't start you have to remember that an engine requires the things to run gas, air, and spark. So what type of condition do you have?
Need more info vehicle getting enough fuel, air or ignition. Fuel pump maybe bad, Air intake system has no leaks, Ignition system working properly. Just need more info
A 1992 Crown Victoria that cranks but does not start could have several issues. Common culprits include a faulty fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, or lack of fuel pressure, which can prevent the engine from receiving gas. Additionally, problems with the ignition system, such as a bad ignition coil or spark plugs, can lead to a no-start condition. Lastly, issues with the battery, starter, or electrical connections may also hinder the engine from starting even if it cranks.
ignition coil! mine did the same
There are a few reasons why a 1994 Mazda Protege won't start, but does crank. A couple of reasons could be the air flow sensor or a problem in the fuel lines.
There are several reasons why a 1996 Achieva engine cranks but will not fire. A few of the reasons could be a bad ignition control module, ignition coil pack, or a crankshaft position sensor.
Coil? HEI ignition system?
Would be in the distributer or the ignition module
Have the system checked for trouble codes.
To fix a 1998 Chevy Blazer that cranks but does not start, first check the fuel system by ensuring there is fuel in the tank and that the fuel pump is functioning properly. Next, inspect the ignition system, including spark plugs and wires, to confirm they are in good condition and firing correctly. Additionally, examine the battery and starter to rule out electrical issues. If these components are in working order, consider checking for any trouble codes with an OBD-II scanner to identify potential sensor or engine issues.
check for spark at plugs, coil.check you are getting fuel check ignition condensor
