i will presume that the engine will crank all the time, but not start all the time. check the power in and out of the distributor. if it has a system that uses a crank sensor then that would be the next in the line to check. hope it helps. duboff.

You may not be getting any fuel. If ur not chances are it may be the main relay sitch. I had that problem once and it was the main relay switch. How I figured it was the switch on would turn the key to as to start the car but don't turn it all the way. Just until the lights come on. If the engine lights does not go off chances are the car will crank but won't start. I am sure it is the switch. I always knew when the light went off the car would always start. I cahnged the switch and never had any problems since. I since sold the car to a friend and she has not had any problems with it either. That has been well over 2 yrs.
