It depends on several things- brand, model of printer, types of inks used, papers used, size printed, etc. I can say from experience that previous canon and hp photo printers I have had range from $.80-$1.20 per 8x10 at the printers best print quality. For just a few prints here and there, photo printers are great- for larger jobs, sending it to a printer is much cheaper
It depends on the file's color mode (RGB or CMYK), and the output printer. Most computer monitors are RGB (Red, Green, and Blue) color based, as are the majority of printers used by most non-professional users. As such, the file you're working in should be RGB, and rendered/printed as RGB to ensure what you see on screen will look like what's printed on paper. Print publishing graphics have always used a 4 color process, CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black). In addition to the file being CMYK, the output printer should also be CMYK. Many higher-end printers are now CMYK. Sharp's new Aquos Quattron monitor technology is a step toward finally making monitors 4 colors instead of the CRT based 3 colors they were originally designed to handle.
The word 'picture' is quite generic but there are a few easy explanations. If it is a printed piece a rich black is achieved with percentages of cyan, magenta, yellow and black. One general formula is C:30%, M:30%, Y:40%, K:100%. If it is a picture done with colored pencils or pastels the same theory applies, add some color to the black. Mixing opposite colors can help create a rich black, a technique used in painting. If the picture is a digital image, to be viewed on monitors etc., the color mixture is RGB, with photo editing software a rich black is made with a mixture of red (R) green (G) and blue (B). A mask can then be created and the background filled with the rich black.
The colour, referred to also process colour or the fours colours, is a subtractive colour model, used when printing colour (which may also be known as printing cartridges). It can be used to also describe the printing process itself. CMYK means the four inks used in most printing: Cyan Magenta Yellow Key (black
CMYK refers to Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. RGB refers to Red, Green, and Blue. RGB is used for display devices. It's based on the premise that Equal amounts of Red, Green, and Blue light that mix together will create white. If you could magnify your computer screen, every illuminated pixel would be made of varying percents of red, green, and blue. It's called additive color. CMYK is used for printing. CMYK are the "process colors" used to reproduce full colored graphics on printed media. If you could magnify a printed picture, there would be a bunch of overlapping cyan, magenta, yellow, and black "dots" of varying sizes. When the human eye looks at the image at the proper distance, they meld together to create the colors of the image. CMYK are the subtractive colors. You can never print with RGB, nor can you use CMYK on a monitor. It's because one's emitting light, and the other is reflecting light off the ink.(since reflected light is how we see "things". If you plan for something to be printed, make sure it's in CMYK, is the proper resolution, and you save it in a non-lossy file format. (such as a tiff instead of a jpeg) -Joe S.

The easiest way to print a color photo in black and white only is to use a black ink only laser printer. The printer will convert the color information into grayscale on the fly. For a more difficult task of using a color printer, use Adobe Acrobat to convert to grayscale before printing. The final piece will be printed in CMYK but will look black and white.
To print white ink on black paper, you will need a printer that has white ink capabilities. These specialized printers use a white ink cartridge instead of the traditional CMYK colors. Make sure to adjust the settings on the printer to ensure the white ink is printed on the black paper effectively.
Personally, I am a jeans and tshirts kind of girl. I like straight legged jeans that are a little too long, and usually just plain black tshirts. I have several of each. My favorite shoes are black low top Converse or sandals.
The maximum print speed on a Brother printer is forty pages per minute. This is a fast printing speed for black and white copies. Most color copies are printed at twenty-seven pages per minute.
It depends of if the printer is black only, both black and color, or an all-in-one printer. If its black only then: No If its black and color then: Yes If its all-in-one then: Yes
can the mfc-255cw printer, print in black only with just a black cartridge?
Well, honey, of course you can print on black cardstock. Just make sure you have a printer that can handle it and use white ink or toner for the best results. Don't go expecting vibrant colors like a rainbow on a sunny day, but hey, black cardstock can make your prints look sleek and classy.
Yes, black printer ink is cheaper than colored ink in general. It's also easier to refill black ink yourself.
Must be something wrong with that printer that or it discriminates against black ink and likes to pretend it does not exist.
There is no simple answer to that, as it will depend on many things. For example, what is to be printed, like if it is text or graphics and how much of the page it actually takes up. Other important things are the type of printer, the quality of the print available and required, whether it is in colour or just black and white.
