President Obama leaves behind a strong majority party the controls the White House, the Senate, the House, most state governors and most state legislatures. Unfortunately for Socialists it's the Republican Party Obama has expanded.

∙ 7y agoProbably. Their coalition of blacks and Hispanics is expected to grow faster than the Republican base. They received a set-back in November, 2016, but the Republicans are far from united behind their new president. He is inexperienced in government and outsiders historically find it hard to succeed in Washington politics. He will find it virtually impossible to cut back government agencies which are largely self-perpetuating and have many friends in Congress.
