If your truck is 4wd, it might be your front axles. A mechanic pushed & pulled on it & heard the noise it did. He told me it was fine. The shake you have on the rear end is the same problem I have. I have replaced all 4 tires, u-goints, shocks, front hub bearings, & so on. The trany, & drive shaft is not @ fault like the book will tell you on trouble shootings. Accidently, I blew out my left rear tire. I put my spare on & it actually went away. My truck recomends light truck tires & my spare is a passenger tire. I do not like the passenger tire but now I have narrowed down my search. If you raise the rear end, have someone get it to speed when it shakes & watch your lief springs & the tires. Then take the tires off (don't forget to have 2 lug nuts holding the drum in place) Sure hope this helps you.
I have 98 4 cyliner automatic Toyota Camry. When I'm coming to a red light, and when I'm braking, the car begins to shake, and the shake doesn't stop even when the car is stopped. Howeverif i switch the transmission from drive to neutral, the car stops shaking. If I switch back to Drive or reverse, it car starts to shake again. What could be wrong?
Nobody could answer that question without looking at your car. One of the possibilities is that your car is overheating. Check the coolant. By the way, if this is the case, and you are driving your car without coolant, stop driving right now because your car is in danger of being irreversabely ruined forever.
Your universal joints are shot, get them replaced asap!

Usually when the steering wheel shakes badly while driving it could mean a few things. If it shakes only when you are applying the brakes, this means you have warped rotors and they will need to be turned or replaced. If it shakes just while driving, it could be that you have 1 or more tires that are unbalanced. Check this first before proceeding. It can also indicate that a wheel alignment and perhaps steering linkage repairs are necessary.
if you car shakes when its fully stopped it may be the harmonic balancer, take it to a garage. is it shakes only when you are braking while stopping than have you brakes checked
the brake rotors are warped. resurface or replace rotors. if the vehicle shakes without applying the brakes, check tire balance.
Vibration when applying brakes is most likely warped rotors. Another cause could be loose caliper bolts.
Generally if it only shudders when braking then you likely have warped brake rotors but it could potentially be one of many other issues too.

Warped brake rotors.
Warped rotors
You have a warped rotor. It must be trued at a machine shop or replaced.
You need an alignment.
Shaking when accelerating and braking show a front end issue. Check the lug nuts to make sure your tires are bolted on tight. Check for play in front end components, like the wheel bearings and tie rod ends. While possibly causing the vibration, the front brakes usually only cause a shake when braking.
It must be the rear brakes at fault.
