Rock has, of course, undergone many, many changes since 1955, the year the movie Blackboard Jungle shocked the nation and introduced young audiences to "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley and the Comets. They are given credit for introducing the country to rock'n'roll, although they did not invent this new form of music.
The Lumière brothers, Auguste and Louis, were pivotal figures in the history of cinema, as they are credited with the invention of the cinematograph, a motion picture camera and projector. They held the first public screening of films in 1895, which marked the birth of cinema as a mass entertainment medium. Their innovative short films, such as "La Sortie de l'Usine Lumière" and "L'Arrivée d'un Train en Gare de La Ciotat," showcased the potential of film to capture and depict reality. Their contributions laid the groundwork for the development of the film industry and filmmaking techniques that followed.
