No.. it does not work.. I have tried it on a piece of card (120 gsm)..
PVc glue is a specialised item for gluing PVC pipe, with a primer. It MAY glue other household items, but test first and don't expect too much. It's not made for 'other items'
The best is Weld On 711 when used with purple primer.
You just pull it apart really hard. PVC glue will not effectively glue ABS.
It is a type of glue used for gluing pipes together... (not the type of cement in concrete).
ABS yellow glue is the correct glue for ABS pipe. The only other glue to consider is Weld On Transition cement if you are gluing ABS to PVC parts.
PVC glue, or PVC cement, is typically formulated from a mixture of polyvinyl chloride resin, solvents (such as tetrahydrofuran or methylene chloride), and additives that enhance adhesion and stability. The solvent helps to soften the PVC surfaces, allowing for a strong bond to form as it evaporates. The glue is designed specifically for bonding PVC pipes and fittings, ensuring a watertight seal in plumbing applications. Always follow manufacturer instructions for optimal results.
its glue spicily for pvc pipe only
Pvc glue cost about $6.49 a can about 8 ounces.
I don't understand why you'd want to do that . CPVC glue is expensive, PVC glue is cheap and glues PVC pipe better.
get a coupling and the fitting that needs replaced. cut out the pipe that is leaking and reeplace it. use plenty of glue and primer. hold the fittings together for at least 1 minute after gluing.
with PVC glue
PVC glues will work on PVC type plastics if a primer is applied. This is a specialised glue for piping and MAY glue other items, but don't expect too much.
