Change oil on 2006 harley electra glide?

I have a 2002 softail standard. The drain plug is actually in the frame under the right side. Near the rear foot peg. It is an Allen bolt. When you remove it it has an O ring where it seats. Check to make sure it is not damaged before you replace the drain plug.

After removing the drain plug from the chain case with a torx bit, remove the torx bits from the access panel. Once the oil has drained completely, reinstall the drain plug and fill the chain case with one quart of oil. It may be necessary to use a funnel. Reinstall the access cover with a new gasket.

All Softails have a wraparound oil tank. Toward the rear of the tank, underneath, the lowest, and incidently the largest oil line, travels down the right side to near the bottom frame rail where it has a plug, either attached to the frame, or hanging loose. Put a pan under to catch the oil. If the plug is attached to the frame, merely loosen the clamp holding it over the plug and pull the hose loose. If it has a plug in the hose, loosen the clampand pull it out.Then pull the filler cap out and let it hang loose in the neck and the tank will drain.

walk to the right side of the bike. lay down and look underneath the bike. You will see an oil pan just behind the engine and just below the tranny. the engine oil drain plug is at the front and the tranny plug is facing you and about half way of the pan

i want to switch over to synthetic oil on my electra glide 2006 is there anything special i should do
