Depends on what/how you mean. If you managed to accidentally get staples stuck in your head, yes you are looking at a fair world of hurt getting them pulled out, though the doctor will likely administer a local anesthetic to help a little bit.
However, if you are referring to medical staples (which are sometimes used rather than stitches) they won't be significantly uncomfortable to remove.
Who chews staples? Of course they hurt you.
No you need a docter
If staples in your head are coming out on their own, it's important to avoid pulling them out further. You should keep the area clean and dry, and contact your healthcare provider for advice. They might need to assess the situation and remove the remaining staples properly to prevent infection or complications. In the meantime, monitor for any signs of redness, swelling, or discharge.
To remove staples
My daughter had to get staples in her head 8 days ago, and I just removed them a second ago. The nurse at the hospital gave me a little tool to take them out with. You just have to put it in and squeeze. The staples will just pop right out. Do not yank on them. I just saw a video on u tube that had a guy doing it to his friend. Maybe that will help some. It shows the tool, and how to use it. Hope this helps a bit!!
It doesnt hurt
