Duraglit metal polish has been on the 'go' for some time. I have a tin of the duraglit brass wadding polish with the 'war time tin' written on the side.

So it was around during 1940 and same size tin although it has a slightly different design.

Reckitt and Colman owned Duraglit and Brasso and they are still available

many factories where around now merged and under the Reckitt Benckiser plc

colman-swas founded in 1814, Reckitt & Sons started in 1840, and In 1938 Reckitt & Sons merged with J&J Colman

Reckitt Benckiser plc was formed by a merger between united-kingdom'sReckitt & Colman and the Netherlandscompany Benckiser NV in December 1999.reckitt-benckiser
