You don't. Anything that alters a coin's current state, even if it's damaged, will almost always make the situation even worse. The idea of "fixing" a coin like you might fix a piece of furniture is frowned upon by collectors.
In fact, "improving" any antique almost always decreases its value unless done by a professional restorer. Watch Antiques Roadshow sometime and see the Keno brothers tell someone who varnished Grampa's old armoire that they just knocked $5,000 off its value.

The disc can be professionally polished and cleaned
there is a way to get rid of scratches .Use dish washing gel and hot hot water and scrub with a dry rag and dry it with a dry soft soft rag
Just don't screw the next one up.
Most home remedies do not work and there are professional machines that can polish the disc. It is better to replace the disc and not try to remove the scratches
