If the marker is water based, just put it in a plastic bag and place it in the freezer overnight. Take it out, let it thaw completely - and it should work as good as new. If it is a permanent marker, try soaking the tip in vinegar for a few minutes, put the cap back on, shake it well and it should work fine.
