First Raise the rear wiper blade assembly out away from the back glass it will pull away from the body of the van.
next there is a plastic clip located on the wiper shaft pop this clip off.
After you have removed the clip slid the wiper assembly out of the slot.
This should allow complete removal.
Next step re-install the new wiper in reverse.
The front wiper arms on a 1997 Mercury Villager clip off once they are bent backwards. To install the new wipers simply slide them into the clip.
Pull the clips back and lift them off.
The 1993 Mercury Villager takes 22" replacement windshield wiper blades on both sides front.
remove the wiper arms, remove the cowl covers, remove the cowl assembly, that is, the big plastic thing that the wiper motoe sits in. It is held is with about five or six 8mm bolts. Unplug the wiper motor and turn the assembly upside-down to access and replace the wiper motor.
First, remove the wiper arm and the shaft nut. Open the hatch and remove the interior panel. remove the three screws that secure the mounting plate for the motor and remove the whole assembly. Go to Nissan dealer for a replacement, it's cheaper and Nissan made it anyhow.
* Pry off the cover for the wiper arm nuts unscrew the nuts and remove both wiper arms * disconnect the windshield washer line remove the single retaining screw release the five push-in retainers and remove the cowl cover * Unplug the electrical connector from the windshield wiper motor * Remove the three wiper motor assembly retaining bolts and remove the wiper motor assembly * Detach the wiper transmission assembly from the wiper motor crank arm * Detach the wiper motor crank arm from the wiper motor assembly * Remove the three wiper motor retaining screws and detach the wiper motor from bracket

The switch just pops out of the dashboard.
* Remove the windshield wiper arms * Remove the cowl cover * Disconnect the electrical connectorr from the wiper motor * Detach the wiper motor/linkage assembly from the cowl * Remove the wiper motor retaining bolts and remove the motor

Remove plastic cap, remove nut, sing Twist & Shout, pry up wiper arm...
