You need to know clearance to adjust tappets accurately.

replace the hydraulic tappets in the rocker arms, valves are non adjustable.

i think a mivec standard, but all depends on wats done to each of the cars
From the service manual pg 7-1:The engine uses hydraulic tappets that eliminate manual valve adjustments. The hydraulic tappets have de-foaming chambers. Before assembling, fill the chambers with clean engine oil.
Indefinitely, but you could create more damage to the valve train the longer you wait to repair/adjust the valves.
