If you are driving hwy; Average 60mph - give or take.
Take the amount of miles you are driving divided by 60. That should give you a close enough estimate of course you'll have to factor in that you won't always be able to average 60mph and there may be breaks between your starting spot and ending location. I always allow myself a little more time than the estimate gives you. This estimate has always been extremely close though. I use it to calculate most all of my important trips.
You can also just go to mapquest.com and it will give you approx. drive time.
Twenty miles an hour
To calculate the distance a car can travel in 3 hours at a speed of 55 miles per hour (mph), you can use the formula: distance = speed × time. Thus, distance = 55 mph × 3 hours = 165 miles. Therefore, the car can travel 165 miles in 3 hours at that speed.
To calculate the time taken to cover 1098 miles at 70 miles per hour, you divide the total distance by the speed. So, 1098 miles / 70 miles per hour = approximately 15.69 hours.
The answer depends on the rate of speed. You can calculate drive time using the following formula: hours = miles / average speed hours = 1050 miles / 60 mph <--use whatever speed you like here hours = 17.5
To calculate the time it takes to travel 663 miles, you need to know the speed at which you are traveling. If you are driving at a speed of 60 miles per hour, it would take you approximately 11 hours to cover 663 miles.
To calculate the time it would take to travel 200 miles, divide the distance by the average speed. Assuming an average speed of 40 MPH (miles per hour). 200 ÷ 40 = 5 hours At 33 MPH it would be about 6 hours.
Speed (in miles/hour) = distance (miles) / time (hours= 75/ (120/60) = 37.5 miles/hour
Either calculate the distance travelled (in miles) and divide by the total time (in hours) taken to undertake the journey or calculate in other units and carry out a conversion.
MPH = miles per hour. In order to calculate hours from seconds, you just need to know that there are 3,600 seconds in an hour.
Divide miles by time to find mph: 522.5 / 9.5 = 55
To determine how many hours it takes to travel 392 miles, you need to know the speed of travel. For example, if you are driving at an average speed of 60 miles per hour, it would take approximately 6.53 hours (or 6 hours and 32 minutes). If you have a specific speed in mind, you can calculate the time by dividing 392 miles by that speed.
Average speed = (delta-X) / (delta-T) = (10 miles) / (2 hours) = 5 miles per hour
