What determines the MOQ?
• The MOQ is based on storage costs, shipping fees, taxes and even insurance for the supplier
• The MOQ or EOQ is calculated using pretty basic math, although the textbook EOQ equation isn't much more than a basic starting point for determining a supplier's actual minimum order standards.
For reference purposes, though, here it is:
o √2*A*Cp/Ch
 A= Annual Demand
 Cp = Cost to Place Single Order
 Ch = Cost to Hold One Unit of Inventory Annually
A good example of this formula in play:
Buyer A runs an online business for auto parts. Annual demand for rear main seals is 16,000. The annual holding cost per unit is $2.50 and the cost to place an order is $50.
In order to calculate the MOQ/EOQ, Buyer A executes the following formula:
√2*16,000*$50/$2.50 = 800 units per order
In order for this equation to be valid, Buyer A is assuming that:
1. The cost of every order is constant
2. The demand for this product is constant
3. The lead time for this product is fixed
4. The price that Buyer A pays for each unit is constant
5. Stock replenishment is instant and the entire batch is shipped all at once
Sometimes a company may have a minimum order quantity on an item. This means that they will only sell you that item if you buy a certain amount.

In a supply chain MOQ stands for Minimum Order Quantity. It is the minimum size of an order specified by a supplier.
There is no minimum order quantity for clothing in FashionTIY online wholesale market. Can be flexibly purchased or approved.
You can calculate quantity in Excel with the SUM function.
Using a fixed order quantity system eliminates the need for continually doing inventory and manual order entry. These systems are designed to keep track of stock and alert the person in charge when it has reached a minimum level so that an order can be placed based on a preset quantity.
A pair of coordinates
Minimum base quantity refers to the smallest amount of a product that a supplier is willing to sell in a single transaction. This minimum quantity requirement helps ensure that suppliers can efficiently manage their inventory and production processes.
A minimum refers to the smallest possible value or quantity in a set or range, while a maximum refers to the largest possible value or quantity in a set or range. So, a minimum is less or smaller than a maximum.
"1 cubic meter" is a perfectly good 'quantity'. If the 'quantity' you want is the weight instead, then you need to know a unit weight or density for sand, in order to convert a volume to a weight.
