Open the Hood, behind the headlight housing there are two round black moisture covers that spin off. Depending on which bulb you want to replace, spin off the corresponding cover. Depending on which bulb type you have, (Xenon or Halogen) unclip the bulb connector and then take out the clip spring holding the bulb in place. Install is in reverse order. Good Luck. To change the headlight on a 1984 Mercedes, first, open the hood and locate the headlight assembly. Remove the retaining clips or screws securing the headlight, then gently pull the headlight forward. Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the headlight, replace it with the new bulb, and reassemble by reversing the steps.
