This, I presume is the last year of the type which had the squarish design of lights and rectangular reflectors, before Ford changed to the round lights and reflectors? If this is the case, there's a big plastic wing nut holding the light cluster in place and it's not obvious! You have to reach inside to the back of the light cluster and feel for the wing nut. Unscrew it and the light cluster will come loose. Then get hold of the light cluster with both hands and pull forward firmly, to unplug the two plastic pegs on the outside. If it's the newer design with two screws on the edge covered by the hatchback, they are T25 Torx screws, not Phillips or Pozidrive! The bulb is the usual bayonet 5W/21W side/brake light bulb.
Change brake light bulbs Just remove the rear license plate. You can change the backup lights and brake light easily.
The rear brake lights on a Ford Fiesta Zetec 06 plate can fail due to several reasons, including burnt-out bulbs, faulty wiring, or a malfunctioning brake light switch. Corrosion or damage in the light socket can also lead to poor connections. Additionally, issues with the vehicle's electrical system, such as blown fuses, can affect the brake lights' functionality. Regular checks and maintenance can help identify and resolve these issues promptly.
Disconnect the four plastic screws holding the plastic plate in the back of the trunk. This exposes the tail and brake lights.
on another 51 plate fiesta.
how do i change rear brake pads on 53 plate Picasso hdi
running or parking lights, or plate light, but that is singular.
You can't. The C5 third brake light is an LED unit. If the unit has went out the entire unit needs to be replaced. There are two bolts that hold the unit in that are accessed by removing the rear plate holder.
The 1999 Mercury Sable license plate light and the right side brake light are on the same fuse. If the fuse was bad neither brake light would work. The problem probably is burnt out lightbulbs.
No, the license plate light is wired in with the rear tail lights, not the brake lights.
