How do you change the radiator of a 4 cylinder 1993 Toyota Camry?

Should be drain plug on engine side of radiator down towards the passenger side. Drain fluid and dispose of properly. There is no easy way, remove hoses connected to the radiator at the radiator and electrical fan housing this should have a wire connecting plug. You will not have to take off the front of the car. just work your way from the hoses to the radiator. If you feel that you will have problem remembering where things go use masking tape and marker to label. Example take two pieces of tape and write # 1 on each place one on the item your removing and the other on the spot where you removed it from.

I just did this today on my 97 Corolla, so it's fresh in my head: 1. Wait for the car to cool off. You don't want to burn yourself with hot coolant! Also disconnect the battery for safety. 2. Remove the plastic splash guard under the front of the car. It is held up with about 8 10mm bolts. This allows you to get to the drain spout and the bottom hose. 3. Put a bucket under the car and drain the fluid out of the radiator. You just unscrew the spout found on the bottom of the radiator on the passenger side of the car. You can open the radiator cap to equalize the pressure to make it flow better. Now that the radiator is empty it's time to start disconnecting all the parts. 4. Hoses. There are two large coolant hoses, one at the top and one at the bottom. Loosen the clamps and slide the hoses off. Move the bucket under the bottom hose to catch any other fluid. 5. Transmission Fluid lines. While you are under the car, there are two lines that run from the radiator to the transmission. Loosen and remove these, catching any fluid that drains out. These lines might not exist on a manual transmission Corolla. 6. Radiator bracket. Unblolt (12mm) these two brackets from the top. Be careful not to snap the bolts. 7. Electrical. Unplug the connections to the fan and any wires attached to the radiator or fan assembly. You should be able to lift out the radiator right out of the car now. 8. Unbolt the four 10mm bolts that hold the fan to the radiator. 9. Remove the rubber mounts on the bottom of the old radiator by prying them off with a flathead screwdriver. Now that's it's all taken apart, you basically just reverse these instructions to install the new radiator. Just don't forget to fill it with coolant genius! -SK

step4: Reconnect the automatic transmission lines, if applicable. Tighten the bracket bolt according to specifications and reconnect the upper radiator hose and lower radiator hose.

Put the radiator tank into position and tighten the bolts according to specifications. Reconnect the overflow hose and connect the negative battery cable.

Fill the radiator with a blend of half engine coolant and half distilled water. Start the engine, let it run for several minutes with the radiator cap on very loosely. Turn the engine off and top off the engine coolant blend. Put the radiator cap on securely.
