You take a water basin, fill it half way with water, then next, you can use food coloring, or fabric dye from the store, put about 1/4 of a cup of the food coloring or dye in the water, then lay your cloth or fabric in the water, and leave it in there for up to 4 hours, then take it out and let it air dry, if you use the dryer right after you dyed your cloth, then all the color would come out, so you MUST air dry it, hope this helps
