You will need a Torx driver to remove it. I then cleaned mine with "switch cleaner" or computer solvent aerosol or other alcohol will probably do such as that in after shave !! With a cotton bud carefully clean any gunk off the two or three small wires that you can see . If the wires are broken then you need a replacement sensor but mine cleaned up and worked well afterwards. Good luck, Chris
