There is a fuse for the airbag system but I doubt that's the cause. Unfortunatly, the airbag computer has logged a trouble code and the only way to find out what it is, is to have the dealer check the codes with their scan tool.
To reset the computer on a 1991 Cadillac Eldorado, disconnect the negative battery cable for about 10-15 minutes. This will clear the computer's memory and reset any stored trouble codes. After reattaching the cable, start the vehicle and allow it to idle for a few minutes to let the computer recalibrate. Lastly, drive the car gently for a short distance to help the system adapt to normal operating conditions.
