How do you get crayon and pen off of wood?

This is going to sound crazy but it TOTALLY works to remove pen or ink off of wood. I used it to remove ink pen (ball point) from Maple cabinets. Use toothpaste. Dab toothpaste on a papertowel and rub the ink on the wood. It comes RIGHT OUT! I used Aquafresh but I think any toothpaste will work.

I would first try to use WD-40 cleaner and a clean rag to try to scrub the marker off. If it doesn't come off an old trick I learned from a teacher is using nail polish remove to remove tough marker stains. It always works! I hope that you can get the stain out of the wood! I would hate having marker in any of my furniture pieces.

bare wood, light sanding. painted wood, hot wet rag. stained and sealed wood, same hot wet rag. wall, paper towel over the crayone (make it a few layers) and then place your iron on the paper towel with it set low to medium heat. it will melt the wax and draw it into the paper towel. put some aluminum foil between the iron and the paper towel to protect the iron. or paint your house with enamel and you can just wash it off next time
