The smell will go away on its own after a while. You can also take the drawers outside for a long while to air it out. Some people actually like the wood smell and use a room spray deodorants to get it.

Just about anything that can be done to remove the wood smell will replace it with another smell. You can spray it, paint over it, varnish it, place a room deodorant in it, or any perfume you find preferable to the wood smell. I prefer placing orange peel in the drawer for a few weeks but you may have to watch out for bugs.

How do you get the smell out of dresser drawers after staining them.?

Usually the odor from wood stain dissipates after a few days but if you are planning to seal the drawers with varnish or polyurethane the odor can be reduced dramatically by using steell wool to smooth the finish and a damp rag or a cheesecloth "tack rag"" to pick up the dust particles followed by a light cleaning with a warm damp cloth and mild detergent (I prefer Murphy's Oil Soap). In essence, though, the odor will usually be gone within a week as the stain has a chance to settle into the wood.

How do you get the dusty smell out of a vintage wood dresser that has been in storage a long time?

Fill the drawers with Cedar Chips. Try stuffing the drawers with wadded up newspaper, or with packets of activated charcoal. These can absorb the odors. Another thing to try is to set the drawers outside in the sunlight for an afternoon or two. You may want to cover the exterior wood with brown craft paper or some sort of fabric to prevent fading during this process. If neither of these techniques are successful, you can lightly sand the interiors and bottoms of the drawers and the unfinished inside wood of the dresser itself. Use a cloth dipped in white vinegar and well-wrung out to wipe away the sanded wood particles. You may want to repeat the sunlight treatment after this.

Why does my Wood pellets smell when burning?

Wood pellets can produce a smell when burning due to the composition of the wood and any chemical additives present. Moisture content, type of wood, and storage conditions can also influence the smell. Ensuring that the wood pellets are stored properly and using pellets with low moisture content can help reduce the smell during burning.
