How do you get the magic beans in Majora's Mask?

As young link only, equip it to a c-button, stand on some soft soil, and use it. He should plant it. Now, if you come back as adult link, it should've grown into a giant leaf. Step on it to ride to some shortcuts and even some goodies, such as heart pieces.

Go to Zora's River and look for a man sitting down eating something, speak to him and he will tell you he has Magic Beans for sale. He first sells them for 10 rupees however each time you ask him he asks for more.
